Mahuva is a small town on the outskirts of Bhavnagar District in the State of Gujarat, India. Mahuva is known for its mild weather and green, lush surroundings, including many coconut tree plantations. Its verdancy in the region of Saurashtra, which is generally semi-arid has earned it the sobriquet Kashmir of Saurashtra.[1]
Mahuva has a very beautiful sea and beach located near the historical Bhavani Temple. Mahuva is the residence of the popular Hindu preacher Morari Bapu. Mahuva is also known for wooden toys, raw onion, groundnuts, and local Jamadar mango. Mahuva is home to a thriving agribusiness industry, with an emphasis on enterprises that dehydrate vegetables such as garlic and onions for use in processed foods.

For Jain Community, Mahuva is more important. Mahuva is the native for Shashahsamrat Shree Vijay Nemisurishvarji Maharaj and Vijay Dharmsurishvarhi Maharaj. There is JivitSwami (Mahavir Swami)'s town. Also for the swaminarayan community Mahuva is more important because shree praagji bhagat maharaj were also born here.
On the Highway - NH8E - a very big and well facilitated hospital prepared by Shri Morari Bapu.
Near Mahuva there is a well known Hanumanji Temple called as Timbi Hanuman. People visits the temple on Saturdays for blessings.
Near mahuva there is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva known as Bhutnath Mahadev. Lots of people throng this place during the Hindu month of Shraavana.
Near Mahuva there is a small village known as Pingleshwar known for a very old Shiv Link inside the Sea. in the evening when there is a tide in the sea the Shiv Ling is under water and we can not see it but in the morning we can see it. Also there is a road pawed from stones to the Shiv Ling. Near the seashore there are very old Pipple Trees surrounding a lods of area.
Talgajarda is birth place of Saint Morari bapu and only a village in bhavnagar district having nice temples. Talgajarda is just 5 km away from Mahuva and there is very nice ganesh temple on the NH8 bypassing Talgajarda. Talgajarda is well connected to mahuva through NH8 and 60 fit village road connecting to NH8 at Ganesh temple. Talgajarda is very near to Sadbhavna Hospital.
Near mahuva there is one village Mota-khutavada. Mota-khuntavada is 19 km away from Mahuva and 60 km away from Palitana. Palitan is famous for jain temple. The Mota-khuntavada is like a rose flower in between two hills (Mava-dungar hill and Chitradhar hill). Mava-dungar hill is 150 Feet High and 500 Meters in radius. The Mava-dungar is inside the lack (Malan Dam) and Maln Dam is around 1 km in radius. In summer there start boating and sweeming sports. Inside MalanDam there is one Hanuma temple and it is 100 years old. Near Malan-dam there is also another Mahakali Devi temple and it is 150 years old. Mahakali temple is only open on Sunday after 4 o'clock. Mota-khuntavada is famous for its Ganesha temple. This temple is about 90 years old and it is near to Malan nadi. The temple's Name is Sidhhganesh Arshrm Mota khuntavada. In this temple Mahant Nepali Bapu is saint of Akhada. In this Ganesh temple temple prashad of god Ganesha 24*7 is given to god's sun who have visited to this temple. The Referral Hospital is also big and it is a Government hospital. It is near Mota-khuntavada Bus stand. In mota khuntavad there is one famous School Prathmik shala. it was built in 1932. In Mota-khuntavada there are different types of religion Hindu and Muslim are like as a brother of god. Mota-khuntavada is also famous for its Nuts and Onion product and it is transport towards punjab and other states. Mota-khuntavada's Gehu is so famous because of Malan nadi. The Farmer of Mota-khuntavada is so active the annual farming product of Mahuva's 15% is coming from Mota-khuntavada. BajrangDas Bapa - [Bapa Sitaram - Bagdana]
35 km away from Mahuva, there is a village Bagdana, the place of the Saint Bajrangdas Bapa. "Bapa Sitaram"- the religious message he has given to the society. The Ashram (temple) is visited through the year, specially on Guru Purnima and Thithi (Death Anniversary of the saint) - in memory on Bajarangdas Bapa, 5 lakhs of people pay their homage to the religious place. The Ashram provides food and accommodation no matter in how many numbers you are in. every Guru Purnima, approximately 5 lakhs of people come for the Darshan and get themselves purified with Prasad.

Mahuva is located in the coastal region of Saurashtra on Gulf of Khambhat. Mahuva is connected to all major Cities of Gujarat & other States by road and rail. Nearest airport is Bhavnagar which is around 100 km.
By the sea route Mahuva is only 9 hours far from Mumbai.
At present there are 47 onion dehydration and still the number is increasing, in this city, which makes it India's number one town for dehydration. Secondly it has a vast growth of onion, exported to other states of India, it is second largest in production of onion in India after Pune in Maharashtra. It has a large number of small and big chicken poultry forms.
Main agricultural product of this city is onion, cotton, and ground nuts.

There are many poultry farms layer and broiler. Emu (Australian birds) farm has also developed recently.
